French. Little Prince is a French restaurant. But leave any preconceptions at the door.

They take their name seriously (see Prince tennis racket, Purple Rain on the drink menu, etc.) yet the mood is total party, the room as unstuffy as it gets.

Fear not, the food is right up there with the excellent vibe.

The French onion soup has cheese so tightly stretched over the bowl you could bounce a quarter on it.  Once inside, you’re on the receiving end of onions, baguette and did I mention the cognac?  To say nothing of the soup itself!

I proceeded to indulge in the rock shrimp, the portion way beyond generous.  And so delicious in that butter.

Next it was on to the bistro chicken.  The only time the word moist isn’t weird is with poultry and theirs is both that and totally tender.

But what brought me here in the first place is the French onion soup burger.  Yes, I was basically doubling down on onion soup.  But when it’s that good, how could you go wrong?  Plus it comes with fries and the absolute perfect crunch.

Multiplying the energy is their music.  Varying from 70s to now depending who’s Spotifying that night. When I was there, it was mostly 70s. Shout out to the mirrorball in the corner.

While in dining heaven, I couldn’t help notice a wall nearly filled with Polaroids. Found out when there’s a party, the owner takes pictures of the revelers.

But it makes no difference if you’re on that wall.  Spend some time at Little Prince and you’ll be just as happy as every one of those faces.
