Italian. Please believe me when I say you haven’t had bruschetta until you’ve had Graziella’s. One bite and you would swear you were in Italy (which is practically true, given you are mere kilometres from the Italian Riviera). The restaurant is family run, and you can taste the pride and love in every creation.
Their parpardelle with fresh tomato sauce, shrimp plus grilled scampi is as good as pasta gets and the sea bass, treasured beneath potato crust, is like eating fish baked in potato chips. Both texture and taste confirm this (as well as the thought that nothing from the sea has ever been so deliciously or ingeniously linked).
And if Graziella weren’t already perfect, they seal the deal for eternity by making their own ice cream. The three flavors I sampled (chocolate, vanilla, caramel) are unrivaled, proving there’s nothing they can’t do. But food is only the half of it, because this mother and son team care as much about the guests as each dish they set before them. The warmth of their greeting and attentiveness throughout translate into a purely wonderful experience.
The only downside, in fact, is the far off locale. That said, should you find yourself vacationing anywhere near Monaco, it would be a shame not to join them. I am so entirely certain you will be pleased, I would bet my bruschetta on it.
